Frequently asked questions
Program & Supervision
Who leads the trips?
All trips are led by experienced and trained educators with decades of experience in both teaching and leading student groups abroad.
What is the student-to-chaperone ratio?
We maintain a 10:1 student-to-chaperone ratio, ensuring every participant receives close supervision and personalized support.
How do you ensure student safety?
Safety is our top priority. Chaperones supervise students 24/7, we have an established emergency action plan, and every student is covered by comprehensive health insurance while abroad.
Will students be supervised on flights and during travel within Europe?
Yes. Chaperones accompany students on international flights, and all local travel (including private buses, public transit, trains, and metros) is supervised at all times.
Who do I contact in case of an emergency?
Parents will be provided with the direct cell phone numbers of trip leaders, who can be reached 24/7 during the program.
Accommodations & Daily Life
Where do students stay?
Students are housed in vetted college facilities, usually in single or double rooms with private bathrooms. Accommodations are carefully selected for safety, comfort, and proximity to learning opportunities.
Are meals provided?
Yes, students receive three meals a day, with a mix of local cuisine and familiar options to ensure comfort and variety.
What if my child has dietary restrictions?
We can accommodate dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-friendly options. Please let us know in advance so arrangements can be made.
How are passports, money, and valuables handled?
Upon arrival, chaperones collect and safely store all passports until departure. Families may also choose to have us manage student spending money. We recommend not bringing valuables on the trip.
Travel Logistics
Do students need travel or health insurance?
No. Both travel and health insurance are included for every participant.
How should students pack?
We recommend packing light — one checked suitcase and one carry-on backpack. A detailed packing list will be provided before departure.
Can students bring cell phones?
Yes, students are allowed to bring cell phones. We encourage using them primarily for staying in touch with family during designated times and for practical needs (maps, communication with chaperones).
How will parents communicate with students?
Students will have daily opportunities to connect with families, either by phone or messaging apps. Chaperones will also provide parents with daily updates throughout the trip.
What kind of transportation is used?
We use a combination of private chartered buses, public transit, trains, and metro systems — always with chaperone supervision.
Program Experience
What kinds of activities are included?
Every experience is carefully curated for authenticity and cultural value — from exploring historic landmarks to everyday cultural activities, such as markets, local events, and language exchanges. In the afternoons, we also organize a variety of sports and games, giving students the chance to stay active, build teamwork, and have fun while connecting with their peers.
How much free time do students have?
Free time is structured and always supervised. Students may have short periods to explore in small groups, but always under clear guidelines and within designated areas.
What skills will students gain from this program?
Students return with stronger language skills, greater independence, confidence, and cultural awareness. Many also build lifelong friendships and a passion for global learning.
What are the behavioral expectations?
We have clear behavioral guidelines for students to ensure safety, respect, and a positive group environment. Families and students review these together before departure.
